Imagine my surprise when I had the best meal I’ve had in a very long time in Ennis Texas. Everything we had was high quality and amazing. The shrimp and grits was delicious. This place is so special. The gift shop can also take all my money. ”

“ I wish there was another star to give for the Service at Fern in the Wild! Carley our server was amazing! She didn’t mind telling us about the specials several times because we kept talking and forgetting what she said! She told us her favorite but didn’t try to make us get them and when we made our choices she affirmed our choices because she knew that everything on their menu was yummy. The atmosphere was really sweet and comfortable the food was every bit as good as anything you would get out of brunch restaurant in Dallas! Colleague explained that Fern in the wild is a farm to table eatery sourced locally grown locally or prepared locally! Our table was spectacular with a beautiful view of the cute street outside it felt private without being snobby. I can’t wait to bring other people here! The attention to the smallest detail was so nice to see . Also the bathrooms were so clean and although I do not have children or grandchildren the koala care station in the restroom was the nicest one I have ever seen anywhere ! After brunch we took a stroll through the gift shop and I cannot wait to wear the cute dress that I bought! ”

The kitchen actually makes delicious food (not “okay” food, but delicious!). Also, the atmosphere already speaks for itself. This is a great spot to visit maybe once every three weeks or once a month, depending how much you want to spend dining out. ”
